John has been interviewed by a representative of the Sawtooth Interpretive and Historical Association (SIHA) as part of its ongoing Oral History Project. The recorded interview will be unveiled at a program at the Stanley Community Library on Wednesday, July 29. The program will also be livestreamed.
In the interview, John shares memories of his family's history in the Wood River and Sawtooth Valleys, his experiences as a Wilderness Ranger, and the changes he's seen during his 70-plus years in the area.
Shortly after the unveiling at the Library, the program will become available on SIHA’s YouTube channel, along with many other oral histories of the Sawtooth area that have been recorded over the years.
